Required entry: (JCB) pg. 79 Fight for 15

I have been working since I was age of 15 and now I’m 19 with no debit. At 15 my parents had me take care, and negotiate lambs, meat chicken, turkeys, and goats. Then I would keep most of the money. Most young people who are mostly in high school or even adults working in fast food restaurants should be paid fairly. I’ve never worked in a fast food restaurant like McDonalds, Burger King or others that are related, but I think it’s hard because they have to attend customers every minute and make everything fast which I think it’s fair that they should be paid $15 an hour. I mean minimum wage has doubled, but living costs and tuition have almost tripled so I don’t see how anyone is surviving on a part-time job and student. Being with people all day isn’t easy, we all have our mood swings. A lot of these employees have the necessity of taking this kind of job because they have to pay rent, food, and more expenses they need to cover and sometimes low wages cannot help at all. Many are also fighting to gain union for benefits. Health insurance is super pricey so being able to gain that through employers would be a blessing for many lower/working class people. Now the down side to these gain benefits or the fight for these in my opinion kind of outweighs the pros. Many have reported termination of employment from going on strike against the big chain employers. The loss of hours, and shift changes that countered the wanting outcome. The factors that may encourage the unionization of fast-food workers is that they can have more well done jobs and be more motivated about their position and the owners of the company can also have more communication and earnings with its staff.
